Hello my name is Tom McMinn. I am married to my great wife Bridie. We have been married since 1985. We meet while we lived in Reno, NV. We both went to high school in Sparks, NV. I have a daughter that lives in Reno. She is married and has 4 great kids, so I am a grandfather too.

We have two cats. My cat names are

• Maddy
•  Desi

They are both just over a year old.

I love NASCAR auto racing. My favorite driver is Danica Patrick. Her main sponsor is GoDaddy.com.

What happens when you run over a shoe??? While leading the race in the NATIONWIDE Series someone from the crowd throws a shoe onto the course and  Danica runs over it and tears up the sway-bar and ends her day.

 

I went to CareerCom for Computer repair. I started working for a small copier company in 1987 repairing copy machines.

I also started my first database that year in InfoStar.

Since then my employer was purchased by a international company named IKON Office Solutions. I transferred here to Federal Way
in 1996 still working on copiers and faxes.

After a couple years in the field, I moved into the office helping techs learn how to manage their inventory. I also ran reporting for inventory control. I worked into teaching class for all of the company techs in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.

Five years ago IKON asked me if I would like to start a Harvest Center locally? At the time there was none and I had to build it from scratch. I set up systems for breaking down machines, labeling the parts. I created an Access database for reporting Harvest activity. I was responsible for taking request from 185 techs across AK, WA, and OR.

Because of downsizing they cut my Harvest Center and laid me off on Jun 15 of 2012.

Sep of 2012 – I have started on the next chapter in my life. I am attending Highline CC Web/Database Development 1 year program
